One feature of Christmas being in the summer is lots of parties. Of course in the northern hemisphere there are also Christmas parties but this is heightened here because of the gorgeous, sunny, hot weather so it is also coupled with bbq's and outdoor events.
We feel like the entire month of November and December we have done nothing but drink, eat and hang out with our friends here who have really in a short time become like family. It is a nice reminder this season how many blessings we do have.
So we have decided to put up here a collection of our favourite party photos from this season so you can see just how much fun we have been having (hence, the lack of blog posts!) :)
Enjoy!
In other news, Jocelyn completed her last day as a hairyLemon and is looking forward to a new year filled with doing whatever her heart desires. She plans on reading lots of books, getting even more into her exercise and possibly picking a cookbook from which to cook cover to cover a la Julie and Julia.
Trey is already on the job search back home and has had some inspiring feedback. We hope to return home in May/June if all goes well and start the next chapter of our lives in 2011 which will hopefully include buying a home and starting a family.
On Monday we head off to Auckland to explore the city for a few days and then on the 30th we set sail on the newly refurbished Pacific Pearl cruise. It will only be the ships second voyage and will take us on a 10 day trip around Vanuatu and New Caledonia in the South Pacific. We are really looking forward to it and will celebrate New Year's on board floating somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean! How many people can say that!!??
We love you all and look forward to celebrating Christmas 2011 with our families back in the USA.
Happy Holidays!
Jocelyn and Trey
