So sorry for the lack of posts this past week. Jocelyn has been ill (just a cold) and Trey has been busy working. Sadly, we can report that Jocelyn did not get the job at the hotel, but in positive news, we will be signing our new lease tomorrow for a place....you guessed it.....on Peterborough Street!!! How funny? We are going to take one final peek at it tonight before we sign. It is less than we are currently paying and a lot more cozy and functional. It is also a 2 bedroom so for you people coming to visit we will have a private place for you to rest your head!
Also this past weekend we cooked green lipped mussels. They are very common here and VERY cheap!! We bought 2 dozen for $3! Crazy. They are also HUGE! We steamed them in garlic, onion, butter and cream. So yummy. And we went ice skating in Cathedral Square at the temporary skate rink and drank yummy NZ hot chocolate.
Other than that, we are gearing up to go to an engagement party this weekend and then next week back on the job search again for Jocelyn. Next week Trey will be looking into getting involved in a tramping club where they go on planned treks and whatnot. Hopefully next weekend or the weekend after we will be going to Mt. Hutt to ski.
